Volunteer at the Moore Creek Grasshopper (September 20, 2026)

Join Redwood Trails Alliance on Sunday, September 20, and help make the Moore Creek Grasshopper an unforgettable day of riding in the Napa Valley!

We’re looking for volunteers to support the event in several roles:

SAG Vehicle at Moore Creek Park
Aid station support at PUC Forest, the top of Dan’s Wild Ride, and the Moore Creek Park parking lot
Morning setup before riders arrive
Afternoon breakdown and cleanup after the event

Whether you can help for a few hours or spend the day with us, your support will keep riders safe, fueled, and on course while helping raise funds for more trails and better trails at Moore Creek Park.

Come be part of a fun day, support the local trail community, and experience the Moore Creek Grasshopper from behind the scenes!

Soda Springs Workday - Cloverdale Sept. 26 (September 26, 2026)

Help us expand the trail network at Soda Springs Ranch Open Space Preserve!

We’ll be working on a brand-new trail, focusing on dragging and finishing the tread and adding a gravel runout.

No experience is necessary—our crew will provide instruction and guidance, along with all the tools you’ll need. Come spend a morning outside, get some dirt under your boots, and help build the future of trails in Sonoma County.

RTA will provide:

Tools and trail-work instruction
Snacks and refreshments
Lunch

Please bring:

Water you can carry with you
Long-sleeved shirt
Long pants
Sturdy shoes or boots
Work gloves, if you have them

Let’s help expand the trails at Soda Springs on the 26th!

Come ready to work, learn something new, and leave a lasting mark on the park.

Boggs Mountain Ramble Oct. 16-18 (October 16, 2026)

Redwood Trails Alliance is heading to Boggs Mountain Demonstration State Forest for the Boggs Mountain Ramble from October 16–18.

We’re taking over the group campsite for a full weekend of trail work, community updates, group rides, hikes, and a Saturday night BBQ. Whether you join us for the full weekend of camping or just drop in for a day, we’d love to see you there.

WEEKEND SCHEDULE AT A GLANCE

Friday, October 16

12:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Camp setup (Friday dinner is DIY)
5:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Lake County Community Update (Open to the public! Hear the latest on Mount Konocti, Clear Lake State Park, Mendocino Forest, and John Klaus Park)

Saturday, October 17

8:30 AM – 1:30 PM: Volunteer Trail Workday (Briefing at 8:30 AM, tools provided)
1:30 PM – 3:00 PM: Lunch & rest
3:00 PM – 5:30 PM: Afternoon group rides & hikes
6:30 PM Onward: RTA Community BBQ catered on-site & campfire social!

Sunday, October 18

8:00 AM – 9:30 AM: Camp breakfast & pack-up
9:30 AM – 11:30 AM: Morning casual rides & hikes
12:30 PM: Event wrap-up & departure

DETAILS & RSVP

Camping: Group campsite is reserved for RTA volunteers and participants. Bring your own camp setup and Friday meal/snacks.
Workday Prep: Wear long pants, sturdy shoes, and work gloves for Saturday morning.

RTA Annual Member Dinner is Back! Saturday, Nov 7 in Santa Rosa (November 07, 2026)

Join your fellow trail lovers for an evening of good food, libations, good company, and great stories from the trail world!

We’ll celebrate everything Redwood Trails Alliance accomplished in 2026, share the projects and partnerships that made it possible, and give you a look at what’s on deck for 2027. Plus, expect some special surprises along the way.

Volunteer(s) of the Year
We’ll also take a moment to recognize the outstanding volunteers who went above and beyond to make a difference for our trails and community.

Special Guest: Tom “Snap” Gonnella
We’re excited to welcome Tom “Snap” Gonnella, founder of the Gianni Cycling Association, as our special guest. Snap has been a passionate force for building community through cycling and creating stewardship opportunities for the next generation of riders. Patrick Brady of The Cycling Independent will interview Snap at the dinner.

Not a member—or need to renew? Join or renew at the $50+ level and the dinner is on us!

Important: You must be an active RTA member to RSVP. Donors and sponsors are also eligible to attend. If you think you should be eligible but can't get registered, email tboss@trailsalliance.org and we'll get you sorted out.
