Join Redwood Trails Alliance and the Blue-Tailed Skinks Youth MTB Club for a special evening celebrating the roots of mountain biking and the community that keeps it thriving.

We’re proud to present “Camera Corner: Wende Cragg and the Birth of Mountain Biking”—a powerful 60-minute documentary that captures the spirit, grit, and creativity behind the birth of a global sport, all through the lens of legendary photographer Wende Cragg.

This is more than a movie night—it’s a chance to connect with the history of the trails we love and support the next generation of trail stewards.

Tickets (each includes 1 raffle ticket):

Join Redwood Trails Alliance for a volunteer trail work day at Hood Mountain Regional Park and Open Space Preserve.

Meeting location:
3000 Los Alamos Rd, Santa Rosa
Public parking lot at the end of Los Alamos Rd.

What we’ll be doing

Installing new trail signs on the Squirrel Scamper Trail and to Sugarloaf Ridge State Park
Finish gravel work on the new connector trail
What we provide
Tools
Parking passes for those who don’t already have a Regional Parks pass
Snacks during the day
Lunch and beverages after trail work

What to bring

Long-sleeve shirt and long pants (poison oak is present)
Hat for the sun
Work gloves
Sturdy hiking shoes or boots
Water in a bottle or pack you can carry while working

Registration is required to attend. To help us reduce waste and be mindful of our limited funds, please let us know if you need to cancel after registering so we can plan food accordingly.

209 acres. Six miles of trails. A bubbling natural soda spring. And will soon be officially open for exploring!

Join us Saturday, June 6 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM for the Grand Opening Celebration and Ribbon Cutting of Soda Springs Ranch Open Space, Cloverdale’s newest place to hike, picnic, connect with nature, and take in some of the most beautiful scenery in town. Gather with community members, local leaders, and project partners as we celebrate this exciting new addition to our parks and open spaces. Light refreshments will be provided.

Speaking of refreshments... the property’s namesake soda springs are naturally occurring mineral springs with gently bubbling, carbonated water (but we wouldn't suggest drinking it!) Nature really said, “What if water sparkled?” and honestly, we respect that. This sparkling new park also features rolling hills, oak woodlands, seasonal creeks, abundant wildlife, and even a redwood grove.

Soda Springs Ranch Open Space was preserved through Ag + Open Space partnerships to protect this landscape for future generations while creating new opportunities for recreation and outdoor access right here in Cloverdale. Trail access is available at two locations:

• N. Foothill Blvd at West 2nd St, near City Park

• S. Foothill Blvd near Vintage Meadows Park

Parking is available at the preserve, including ADA-accessible spaces, with additional parking near City Park and Vintage Meadows Park.

Freehub Presents Mountain Bike Film Festival at Cameo Cinima (July 20, 2026)

Join RTA at the Cameo Cinema for Freehub PRESENTS Mountain Bike Film Festival, a collection of films from some of the best filmmakers and riders, as well as new up-and-comers alike, all given the proper big screen experience. The multi-stop film festival honors top and emerging filmmakers, riders, leaders, and storytellers who will shape the sport for generations to come.
